Philosophy & Approach

I offer a blend of counseling and mind-body practices to provide a holistic approach to help you reach your unique goals.  The approach I use includes:

  • cognitive behavioral,
  • strength-based models,
  • person-centered,
  • psychodynamic, and
  • solution focused

In addition, I integrate these tools to further explore your inner self:

  • yoga,
  • movement,
  • mindfulness,
  • relaxation techniques, and
  • meditation

I work collaboratively to help you define your needs and desires and learn what is getting in the way of reaching your goals.  Together, we will explore your past and present experiences including issues such as fear, anxiety, depression, self-doubt and family of origin, and discover the potential that lies within you.

We will cultivate a nonjudgmental, open, creative and compassionate space to support your healing and development. I believe you are the expert of you and my role is to encourage, support, challenge and facilitate the unique growth process within you.

As an Intern registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I abide by its Code of Ethics.
